Google officially announced today it’s new service, Google Fiber. Offering free internet speeds of 5 Mbps down, 1 Gbps service for only $70 a month, and Google Fiber + TV for $120 a month, Google Fiber has the potential to be a real competitor in the residential internet market.
So how do you get Google Fiber service? Google Fiber is different and so is signing up. Currently Google Fiber is only available Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO so you’ll need to wait till there is a fiberhood in your area but you can pre-register and then start encouraging your friends and neighbors to do the same.
